The drawer gets counted on a named day

The drawer gets counted on a named day. This desk note is about the cash drawer. It fits a business that still has one decision-maker.

Sequence

Do it in this order: count it on that day and write the number. Stop when the next step needs a number you do not have. Inventing the number is not a step.

The habit to drop

The expensive habit is a count you do only when something feels wrong. Replace it with a line on paper you can find next week.

The note is done when the page shows the last count and the date. If a customer, a supplier, or a tax date is involved, use the real date, not a rounded one.

The "The week's money" page stays practical only while it names an owner and a next action. The cash drawer without a next action is a wish.

A desk note. It does not predict revenue, and it is not tax, legal, or accounting advice.
